Summary:
The Computer Technician - Programmer/Analyst for Langston University is responsible for managing reports, data, and various integrations withthird-party vendors and systems.
This position will manage LU's data andreports including ODS data, Cognos reports, and SAS reports.
This position will also support general IT needs ofthe University.
This individual will workin cooperation with the A&M System under direction and oversight of the Executive Director of IT to ensure proper support is provided to the University.
Thisposition will be required to represent the University in joint meetings, councils, groups, or projects where the University has a vested interest in the discussion.
Oversee day-to-day management of LU's reporting needs and ensure support is provided to the entire university at all three campus locations:
Langston, OKC, and Tulsa.
Assist with strategic plan for the future university.
Assist with developing a formal plan for data-drivendecision-making and adoption at the university.
Communicate effectivelywith campus employees, students, and leadership.
Build effective relationships with Executive Director of IT,A&M CIO, A&M System, OSU IT, OneNet, and other external resources such as vendors or consultants.
Supervise access to data and reports to ensure campus resources and datais secure.
This positionwill also help ensure security by maintaining appropriate safeguards to prevent and protect university data, devices, and other resources.
Ensure appropriate device protections are in place(i.
e.
firewall, border protection, antivirus, patches, etc.
) and are updated appropriately and on time.
Assist with other general technicianneeds including, but not limited to, desktop, network, and sever configuration and deployment,general troubleshooting, softwareinstallation and configuration, and computer/abimaging and management.

Required Degree:
AssociatesField of Study:
Computer Science, Management Information Systems, Telecommunications Management, Business Administration, or related area.
Experience:
3 years of information technology administration or information technology management experience.
Certifications, Registrations, or Licenses:
In addition to theknowledge required to perform the major responsibilities, a successful individual will possess the abilityto develop and deliver presentationsto technical and non-technicalaudiences; must exhibit the ability to handle difficult situations; must operate with professional standards of confidentiality, honesty, and commitment.
Ability to lift 25 lbs.
Periodically this position requires work after normal working hours and requires continual availability by cellular device.
A cellular device will be provided, or additionalincome provided to compensate for use of personal device.
This position may be required to be in an on-call/standby status for afterhours and weekend emergencies.
Preferred:
Bachelor's Computer Science, Management Information Systems, Telecommunications Management, Business Administration, orrelated area.
Experience:
Information technology experience in higher education.
